Setting aside my crying for no Airiam but YAY PRETTY DISCO ART
six crews done now for this little project of mine :D
Why did you do this to her? Judith begged of the ship. Why now, after everything sheās done for us? Ithaca remained still, more silent than sheād ever been. The Commander's gaze met hers through the window, and Judithās heart fractured. The possibility of Lyrisā end, the idea that she might actually be mortal, was simply too devastating to comprehend. If even she could fall, what hope was there for the rest of them? āIāll come back for you,ā Judith choked out, her voice barely a whisper. But even as she made her promise, even as she righted herself and took off for the nearest transporter, Judith wondered if there would even be anything left of the Commander, of the life that had always so fiercely refused to be extinguished, to come back to.
This is SO PRETTY ā¤ļø
But they did not do these two justice in the show š š©

Oh my god how is he so cute ALL THE TIME.
And he just sits here, happy as a clam, while I'm writing.
Some of my processes for planning out fics...but fear not! I can't follow the multiple timeline things either š„²
"He asked about you," Eva said, rubbing one arm and then shoving a hand in her pocket. "Who you are, why you care."
"I don't like bullies, is all," Taryn replied with a frown, and she crossed her arms over her chest. "Ain't need no more reason than that."
"He says you got a mouth on you. Says you oughtta learn when to shut it."
Eva looked at the ground as she said it, kicking at the gravel with the toe of her boot.
"That what he said?" Taryn asked, and she almost grinned as she leaned back on the column.
"That's what he said."
"And what d'you think Miss Eva Kincaid?"
"I don't think nothin'."
"That means you think somethin'."
Eva looked up, and her mouth and her brows settled into hard lines.
"I think you gone an' pissed off Mister Sterling. An' I think you just might wanna listen to him."
Taryn regarded her. She still wasn't swayed. She could tell Eva knew it, too. She pushed off the column and came a step closer.
"I'll think about shuttin' my mouth when he thinks about keepin' his hands off o' you. You can tell him I said that, too."

Taryn Monroe prefers simplicityāher place in the mountains, the predictable rhythm of her job at the mill, and the peace that comes with keeping to herself.
Every Tuesday, a woman shows up at precisely fifteen minutes to close. Taryn doesnāt know much about herājust the rumble of her truck, the way she never wastes words, and the peculiar gallon of sulfur she buys each week. Then one Tuesday, she doesnāt show up. Taryn tells herself to leave it alone, that itās not her business and the woman can handle herself. But when she overhears an argument and starts asking questions, she canāt shake the feeling that something is wrongāand her life becomes anything but simple. Something wild is living in the barn at Wardenwood Hollow. Something keeping the woman bound to the old Sterling Farm. And Taryn may be her only chance to break free.
This is beautiful.
āRememberā
Many, many months ago now, I asked what Janeway outfits people wanted me to draw ⦠and then I didnāt really do any drawing. But I finally finished this!
This outfit from āRememberā was suggested by @thresholdbb as well as @darksideofthecoffeebean who specifically mentioned playing the instrument. @prettypinkdork said āMortal Coilā which is the same outfit, though I will get to drawing a shot from that episode too.
There is too much white in this outfit. Lol. It didnāt help that I was also doing a drawing of my brother in a white button-down at the same time.
Iām not sure what Iāll draw next, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to suggest them!
The only time I've ever spent a full day scrounging the internet to collect all 15 books was for Taylor Anderson's Destroyermen series. I cannot recommend these enough. I still have yet to read the first of the spinoff Artillerymen series, but if you need a SciFi/twisted history series to get lost in--this guy's books are it.
I've been starting to re-read my earlier chapters of Ithaca as I near completion. I can safely say this is the heaviest and most speculative piece I've ever written. When I started writing it last September, I had no idea how much it would take over my life, how important it would become for me to be able to get it out into the world. I also didn't seriously expect to make it this far.
I'm behind schedule right now, for obvious reasons, but it still blows my mind to look at this outline and see so few scenes (in white) left to write. There's a lot of work to do even once it is completed, and a lot of trimming down as it's approaching 130,000 words. I still have to decide if I'm going to use any of these chapter titles or just stick with numbers, but I'm hopeful I'll be able to have a first manuscript printed to hold in my hands before the end of the year--and then promptly mark up all the problems with it and start round two =D
The shuttle door opened, and Judithās breath shuddered out of her lungs. She expected officers, maybe commanders and ensigns. But the first officer she spotted was the last one she expected to see.
The uniform was familiar.
Command red.
Grey eyes darted around the chamber, mouth gaping a bit in some kind of startled awe. Then they landed on Judith and Lyris, and the face morphed into a scowl.
āOf course.ā
Captain Elara Becketts strode forward, combat boots thunking on the debris coating the floor. She came to a stop before them, crossing her arms over her chest.
āYou two are like goddamned roaches."
