the birth of kira outfit. sometimes i call this the hurricane outfit. iconic, simple, practical. something you'd wear to courses. 7.4/10

popular boy thinks about murder all day outfit. i like this one!! gosh, if only i can pull this outfit as good as he did. but let's be real here no one can ate this basic and boring outfit up like light yagami. he's just iconic like that. 9.5/10

best friends forever outfit. nice, simple, and sweet. he looks cute in this. not the biggest fan of the color matching but i know i'd put on something worse. also he still looks nice. so. 7.4/10
surrounded by idiots outfit. This is like the zip shirt from last part but blue. Honestly I'm not as much as a fan for this version. He once again blends in a bit too much into the surroundings. But it's not *too* bad i guess. 5/10
kira? in higuchi? it's more likely than you think outfit. i like this one! little white shirt underneath and grey-ish collar. very basic but you know what i love everytime light wears black top (especially sweatshirts like this) + khaki? The colors inverted would be white top + blue pants. I just like L and light opposing each other in any way so much. 8/10
according to the keikaku outfit. first of all, mf seems to like this shirt sm. the jacket is a bit ??? bc it looks more like something soichiro would own instead of him but at the same time it's very fitting? maybe it's a hand me down aha. though we need to talk about his pants. i can't believe light yagami wears white pants 😔. i have a personal deep distate on them i'm sorry lol. you're lucky i like his top. 7.5/10

sexy nemesis murder outfit. ah yes, a nice outfit for your nemesis to die homerotically in your arms. honestly, i prefer the anime's white shirt + khaki take on this outfit way more. it feels more fitting. this one kinda feel dull and idk, he looks like he came from divergent's abnegation fraction 😭. 6.7/10
pro hacker outfit. i assume it's sweatshirt underneath bc we've seen him in that ribbed/striped pattern a lot before. not too bad i guess, simple and easy. Something about it just really pleasing to me but at the same time it's not? Weird. 7.8/10
new world outfit. aka the last outfit he wear for the first timeline of death note, before we jump to 5 years later. honestly, it's just pretty much dull. it's all grey and grey-ish. very much contrasting misa who has a bomb outfit here. but color aside, it looks fitting and nice on him. because what would be not? he's light. 6.7/10
okay this one doesn't have as many outfits as the previous parts but i want to divide it so next week we can cover the timeskip outfits, yay.

shit i felt and did before i got myself a label:
- being weirdly annoyed by my boobs and looking for ways to make them invisible since they barely started to grow. i learned what binder was at the old age of nine. i didn't have enough money of course and i didn't know where i could buy it. so i used simple bandages before they started to annoy me.
- trying to justify the feeling of queerness by telling myself that my parents just raised me that way. they literally did not. i have a very traditional family.
- not taking photos of myself before i started presenting myself in a gender neutral way. if i had choice i would hide on group photos. i rarely took selfies. the only ones I have from that period are of me in a cosplay.
- using male pronouns and masculine grammatical gender on the internet 'for fun'. or phrasing my sentences in a way which would not require using gendered words at all.
- awkwardly laughing when i passed as a boy in front of people who knew me as a girl. not correcting people when i was alone. i loved being ambiguous about my gender when I could.
- being a feminist and fully supporting the use of gendered words for occupations... while not using them to describe myself.
- feeling like i am totally one hundred percent cis because 'i do not feel like i am a man, that' s not me'. gender binary is a bitch.
it took some self-reflection to realize what the 'symptoms' pointed at. yet i did not believe myself at first. i guess it really was fear that kept me from living through my younger years comfortably.
and my government.

well i just finished the last chapter of the arc.
during the process i permanently had in mind two very silly and funny things i could do with the plot but did not. because then it would just go off rails completely.
HOWEVER. while trying to avoid those two things, i accidentally made two other stupid decisions, which are more logical, i'll give myself that, but they still mess up the plot in a plethora of ways.
guess who should deal with that mess now instead of whining about their incompetence on tumblr :)
I do want to elaborate why I think this ship works so well (Mycroft Holmes / L Lawliet).
First of all, we know that they respect people of the same level of intelligence. Dare I say they are on each other's level which will bring them closer to each other.
They're both very closed off about their feelings, but we can see that Mycroft does open up to people he trusts (in canon, that person is Albert).
Now, in AU where they work together, be it MI-6 or just some detective agency, they are bound to spend a lot of time together working. And as they gradually grow closer due to their similarities, Mycroft just might to spill his secrets and tell about how he feels.
And at first that would be very overwhelming for L. Sharing problems? Talking about feelings? That's unheard of. But then it would create a sort of a safe space for him to be vulnerable as well. He would just listen for a while. Most of Mycroft's problems are similar to his, after all. He would appreciate having someone who can put his own feelings to words.
Then he would start talking, too. He would still be afraid, but Mycroft's patience and kindness would inspire him to confide in one person he can.
They both are very silent about their feelings, and having that one friend (I doubt they would call each other friends, though) might be their salvation.
That's all I have to say today.
