You are stronger than you realise. You are crueller than you realise. The smallest words will break your heart. You will change. You’re not the same person you were three years ago. You’re not even the same person you were three minutes ago and that’s okay. Especially if you don’t like the person you were three minutes ago. People come and go. Some are cigarette breaks, others are forest fires. You won’t like your name until you hear someone say it in their sleep. You’ll forget your email password but ten years from now you’ll still remember the number of steps up to his flat. You don’t have to open the curtains if you don’t want to. Never stop yourself texting someone. If you love them at 4 a.m., tell them. If you still love them at 9.30 a.m., tell them again. Make sure you have a safe place. Whether it’s the kitchen floor or the Travel section of a bookshop, just make sure you have a safe place. You will be scared of all kinds of things, of spiders and clowns and eating alone, but your biggest fear will be that people will see you the way you see yourself. Sometimes, looking at someone will be like looking into the sun. Sometimes someone will look at you like you are the sun. Wait for it. You will learn how to sleep alone, how to avoid the cold corners but still fill a bed. Always be friends with the broken people. They know how to survive. You can love someone and hate them, all at once. You can miss them so much you ache but still ignore your phone when they call. You are good at something, whether it’s making someone laugh or remembering their birthday. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that these things don’t matter. You will always be hungry for love. Always. Even when someone is asleep next to you you’ll envy the pillow touching their cheek and the sheet hiding their skin. Loneliness is nothing to do with how many people are around you but how many of them understand you. People say I love you all the time. Even when they say, ‘Why didn’t you call me back?’ or ‘He’s an asshole.’ Make sure you’re listening. You will be okay. You will be okay.

It turns out procrastination is not typically a function of laziness, apathy or work ethic as it is often regarded to be. It’s a neurotic self-defense behavior that develops to protect a person’s sense of self-worth. You see, procrastinators tend to be people who have, for whatever reason, developed to perceive an unusually strong association between their performance and their value as a person. This makes failure or criticism disproportionately painful, which leads naturally to hesitancy when it comes to the prospect of doing anything that reflects their ability — which is pretty much everything.
Procrastination Is Not Laziness | Thought Catalog
I’ve posted this before but I’m posting it again because it’s just so important and really gets at the heart of why so much advice about procrastination, much of it targeted at people who have ADHD but are just considered “lazy,” fails. Before you can tell someone to “just do it already,” you need to think about the reasons they’re NOT doing it, like all the meanings they’ve attached to vague terms like “success” and “failure.”

“kylo ren and general hux should date,” I say into the mic. the crowd boos. i begin to walk off in shame, when a voice speak and commands silence in the room. “he’s right” they say. I look for the owner of the voice. there in the fifth row stands: rey.
So I learned from my friend that coconut water can be used as an emergency blood transfusion, and of course my first thought was “So, can a vampire drink coconut water?”
and of course we had this idea of these tropical vampires being horrified when these old world vampires come and are still drinking blood like some sort of monster.

Sam: “I’ll tell you where he is but you have to go alone and you have to go as a friend.” Tony: “Easy.”
LISTEN THE FUCK UP. THIS IS ALL KINDS OF NOT OKAY. tony walks in there as a friend, he thinks he and steve are friends. he’s willing to put all the shit that’s happened over the past few days aside (HIS BEST FRIEND GETTING PARALYZED) because steve needs his help. cool. great. they’re friends.
and then what happens? he finds out that this so called friend had known how tony’s parents had died for over a year and decided not to tell tony because he wanted to ‘spare him’. give me a break. i do not blame tony at all for snapping at that point (easy). after all of cap’s talk of team work (like the old man said, together) about openness and honesty (sometimes my teammates don’t tell me things) here they are, steve hiding the truth about one of tony’s worst memories, half-heartedly still trying to defend his actions, just to protect the person who actually killed his parents.
steve ripped apart the avengers for bucky. steve broke away from his job, his government, his team for bucky (he’s my friend).
but he couldn’t even tell tony how his parents died.
so was i.
