So much of my life has been a phase and thank god because if not I’d be absolutely insufferable. That being said, it still contributed to the development of the person I am, who isn’t perfect, but pretty great.
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
It’s been FOREVER since I last posted
(It’s been six days)
It’s not a party until I’ve fallen in love with a fruity priest.
I want Josh to get a boyfriend and I don’t want to be there for it.
I want it to be like a background thing we get to hear about through break room conversations with Maddie. I want them to have met completely normally— like maybe they struck up a conversation in a really long cafe line.
Maybe they have a fight or something and Josh goes into work and they have a tough day at dispatch where he does what he always does and is the voice of calm and reason for everyone else and then goes home and even though they had been fighting he still gets to lean on his boyfriend.
And I want Sue to notice he doing well and to hug him and say she’s HAPPY for him.
I just want the background character who supports everyone to be HAPPY AND SUPPORTED.
Let’s put aside Buddie for a second…
Guys what do you want from season 9? Because I’ve got one thing I really want and I’d like someone to ask please.

I wonder if our parents know how well we know them?

ART FOR EVERY BOOK I READ THIS SUMMER PART 4: We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib
I wanted to put in the scene where they send him out into the minefield with a map of New York but couldn’t figure out how to fit it.
(Little explanation)
This is a fairly liberal interpretation of the word ‘fanart’ but it is art inspired by the book I read, which is what I’m going for. The main take away from this book for me was that Ancient Greek philosophers and those three side characters in Dazed and Confused have something in common, and that is that they both represent the way me and my friends get together and have deeply existential conversations for the fun of it. Philosophy hasn’t changed, just the way the philosophers dress.
Colonel Potter won’t come until next week so here’s some Hawkeye for the interim. (Realism is NOT my strong suit)
My queer ass with limited sexual interest and a romantic attraction to all the genders was absolutely flabbergasted when I, at 15, discovered that no one else seems to understand how flattering hiking pants are.
